Proxygen is a production-grade C++ HTTP library developed by Meta, providing comprehensive support for HTTP/1.1, HTTP/2, HTTP/3 (QUIC), and WebTransport. It offers both a classic callback-based server/client framework and a modern coroutine-based API using folly::coro. The architecture is layered: low-level codecs for wire protocol parsing, session management with flow control and rate limiting, transport abstraction (TCP, TLS, QUIC), and high-level handler/filter chains. The library includes extensive utilities for DNS resolution, consistent hashing, stream compression, structured headers, and connection pooling. It is heavily tested and designed for high-performance, multi-threaded production environments. While primarily a server framework, it also provides a full client stack and sample applications (echo, proxy, push, WebSocket, H3). The codebase is well-structured with many reusable components, though it remains tightly coupled to Meta's ecosystem (folly, wangle, fizz, mvfst).
The solo-cli is a command-line tool designed to deploy and manage Physical AI systems on local hardware. It integrates functionalities for serving large language models (via Ollama, vLLM, or llama.cpp), controlling robotic arms (through the LeRobot framework), authenticating with a custom model hub (Solo Hub), and fine-tuning models using external datasets. The application features a modular command structure with lazy-loaded dependencies to optimize startup time, cross-platform hardware detection for automated backend selection, and a layered configuration system. Additional utilities include Docker management, system information gathering, and filesystem-safe string handling for robotics data operations. The project also includes example implementations of Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers for various domains, demonstrating how to extend the CLI's capabilities for specialized AI workflows.
Nearby Glasses is a cross-platform mobile application (native Android in Kotlin and iOS in Swift/SwiftUI) that continuously scans Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) advertisements to alert users when smart glasses from known manufacturers (Meta, EssilorLuxottica, Snap, Zhuhai Jieli) are nearby. Detection is based on immutable BLE company IDs and device-name substrings, with configurable RSSI threshold and notification cooldown. The Android app runs a foreground service for background scanning; the iOS app currently scans only in the foreground and offers a 'Canary Mode' visual indicator instead of system notifications. The app is privacy-focused: no telemetry, no ads, local-only logs with user-initiated export.
This is a meta-repository for cBioPortal's Google Summer of Code (GSoC) program, containing only a README and an issue template. It does not contain any application code, data pipelines, or executable software. Its purpose is to serve as a landing page for prospective GSoC contributors to find project ideas, application instructions, and links to the main cBioPortal codebases (backend and frontend). The repository is effectively a documentation hub with no functional implementation.
