This repository is a project management and coordination hub for the FreeBSD Foundation's Laptop Support and Usability Improvements Project. It does not contain any source code. Instead, it hosts monthly progress updates (Markdown files), supported hardware and desktop environment lists (Markdown), roadmap PDFs, an issue template for capturing work items, and links to the project board. The repository serves as a public transparent status board for a $750,000 effort to improve FreeBSD laptop functionality (WiFi, graphics, power management, audio, etc.). The actual development happens in the FreeBSD source tree, drm-kmod, and other FreeBSD repositories. This repo is purely about project governance and communication. There are no reusable software components; the highlighted_components list is empty because no application code exists here.
