Wonderous is a Flutter application developed by gskinner in partnership with the Flutter team, designed as an educational and explorative showcase of the Seven Wonders of the World (plus one). The app provides rich, interactive content including high-quality illustrations, timelines, artifact browsing (sourced from the Metropolitan Museum of Art Collection API), photo galleries, and a collectible discovery system. It targets iOS, Android, macOS, Windows, and Web (WASM), with a native iOS home screen widget written in SwiftUI. The architecture uses GetIt for dependency injection, ValueNotifier for reactive state, and GoRouter for deep-linked navigation. Data is primarily static and curated, with local JSON persistence for collectible progress and settings. The UI is heavily customized with layered parallax illustrations, custom animated components, and themed typography.
