TidGi-Desktop is a cross-platform Electron desktop application that wraps TiddlyWiki as a local-first personal knowledge base and note-taking tool, adding git-backed synchronization (GitHub/GitLab/Gitea/local), multi-workspace management (folder-based Node.js wikis and single-file HTML wikis), and a full AI agent chat subsystem. In production it boots an Electron main process, a React+MUI renderer, and a Node.js TiddlyWiki worker per workspace; users edit TiddlyWiki content inside WebContentsView instances while a companion chat UI lets them converse with LLM agents that can call domain tools (wiki search, tiddler editing, git operations, MCP tools, scheduled tasks, web fetch) and stream responses back. It also runs a token-authenticated MCP server on localhost, provides vector embeddings over wiki content via sqlite-vec, and supports OAuth flows for Git hosting providers.
