git-bug is a distributed, offline-first bug tracker that stores issues as immutable operations in a Git DAG, enabling conflict-free merging and replication. It provides multiple interfaces: a CLI (Cobra), a terminal TUI (gocui), a modern web UI (React/TanStack Router/Apollo Client/Shiki), and a GraphQL API (gqlgen). The system supports bidirectional synchronization (bridges) with GitHub, GitLab, Jira, and Launchpad via import/export patterns. Entity data uses Lamport logical clocks for ordering and a generic DAG entity framework that can be reused for other entity types (e.g., identities, future pull requests). The web UI features a well-layered component architecture (ui/shared/feature) with colocated GraphQL fragments, Storybook stories, and snapshot tests, while the backend includes a caching layer (LRU, excerpt snapshots) and full-text search via Bleve.
