Robusta KRR (Kubernetes Resource Recommender) is a CLI tool and optional admission webhook server that analyzes Kubernetes cluster resource usage via Prometheus metrics and generates CPU/memory request and limit recommendations for workloads (Deployments, StatefulSets, Jobs, CronJobs, Rollouts, etc.). It supports multiple Prometheus-compatible backends (Prometheus, VictoriaMetrics, Thanos, Mimir, Coralogix, AWS EKS, Google Managed Prometheus) and provides a plugin system for custom recommendation strategies and output formatters. The enforcer component can automatically apply recommendations by intercepting pod creation requests as a Kubernetes mutating webhook. The codebase is well-structured with clean abstractions, pydantic models, and extensive Kubernetes API integration, though it uses pydantic v1 and some older library versions.
