openui/open-ui ★ 4526 226 DATA_RESEARCH

This repository serves as the research and documentation hub for the W3C Open UI Community Group, focused on standardizing web UI components. It maintains a structured collection of design system data (JSON files representing libraries like Bootstrap, Material UI, Ant Design, etc.) and uses this data to research, compare, and propose standardized web platform features for common UI patterns. The site includes interactive documentation that visualizes component anatomy, tracks concept implementation across design systems, and publishes explainer documents for proposed web APIs. While it functions as a documentation site, its core activity is data research: collecting, normalizing, and analyzing UI component data to inform standards work.
